Allen Mesick lives in Tollhouse, California, a mountain town in the Sierras outside of Fresno. He and Randy Shumaker own Eureka!
Mohair Farm, specializing in Natural Colored and White Angora Goats. They are nationally competitive with their Angora Goats,
and have won 3 Champion Colored Bucks awards at National Shows. Combining a passion for livestock and a love for art, Allen greatly
enjoys fiber art, specifically needle felting. Demonstrating the art at the California State Fair and L.A. County Fair have been
some highlighted events where he has been able to teach others the art. Aside from Angora goats and felting, Allen is an avid
rabbit breeder and licensed all-breed judge. Judging all over the west coast, Colorado, Connecticut, Kentucky, and even Japan
wrap up some of his assignments for 2008. He recently returned from a semester study abroad in Senegal where he mastered French
and researched the potentials of rabbit farming as a means of combating hunger in developing French-speaking West Africa. He is
currently finishing a double major in Animal Science and French at CSU Fresno.
