Craft Vendors

Craft Booths are limited to original works in the recognized fine arts and crafts field, such as paintings, drawings, graphics, sculpture, photography, pottery, toys, weaving, wood, jewelery, leatherwork, stained glass and textiles. No imported, manufactured, mass-produced or mass marketed items (such as commercial, mold-cast ceramics) will be accepted in the arts and crafts booths. If this does not apply to you and you are interested in reserving a booth for your Commercial Vending, please contact our craft committee chairperson.

Please remember to include your booth fee check made out to "Dixon Lambtown Committee", photos, and a SASE with $.44 postage, together with a $10 reservation fee(which will be credited to your application fee if your application is accepted). Craft/Commercial Exhibitor Rules And Regulations

Eligibility:

Craft booths are limited to original works in the recognized fine arts and crafts field, such as paintings, drawings, graphics, sculpture, photography, pottery, toys, weaving, textiles, wood, jewelery, leatherwork, and stained glass. NO IMPORTED, MANUFACTURED, MASS-PRODUCED OR MASS MARKETED ITEMS (such as commercial, mold-cast ceramics) WILL BE ACCEPTED IN THE ARTS AND CRAFTS BOOTHS. Craft booths may also contain Exhibitor grown sheep byproducts manufactured and processed on the farm, but not those which have been sent off of the farm for processing. Commercial Exhibitor Booths may contain manufactured, mass-produced and imported items, subject to approval of the jurying committee.

  • Spaces are assigned first come, first serve. Special requests will be considered where possible. Since Lambtown is a THEME event, Exhibitors are encouraged to provide at least one lamb or wool item in their wares. We reserve the right to limit the number and types of Exhibitors.
  • Booths may be set up between 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2009 and 8:30 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010. All vehicles MUST be off the streets and out of the fairgrounds by 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Food vendors assigned to food areas who sell from their vehicles are exceptions. They must, however, be set up in their assigned spaces before 8:00 a.m.
  • Most booths are outside, though shade is available in most of the Festival area. 50 booths will be set up inside Madden Hall, and are available on a first come, first served basis. It is advisable that you bring a 10' X 10' canopy or tent.
  • Exhibitors are responsible for their own booth set up and clean up. Booth space size is 10x10'. Festival organizers do NOT supply booth frames, table, chairs or canopies. Electricity is available for an additional $25 fee. PLEASE NOTE ON YOUR APPLICATION IF YOU WILL NEED ELECTRICITY, SO WE CAN ASSIGN YOU A BOOTH NEAR AN OUTLET. Exhibitors shall not construct or arrange their booths so that they obstruct the general view or hide exhibits of other Exhibitors. Pedestrian aisles must be maintained at all times.
  • No vehicular traffic is allowed in the fairgrounds after 8:30 a.m. Saturday. All supplies and products, tables, chairs, AOC's or tents must be packed in after the gate is closed. It is advisable to bring hand trucks or dollies.
  • Exhibitors must bring all their own equipment. Exhibitors must bring at least 1 garbage container for maintenance of their own space. 30 gallon containers are suggested. Additional trash bins will be provided around the fairgrounds.
  • The deadline for reservations is September 15, 2010 (postmark on application envelope). No refunds will be given once your application has been approved. Confirmations will be sent after August 15 and before September 15, 2010. Maps and instructions will be sent by September 31, 2010. Assigned booth spaces are final. You will receive your booth space number and location at the registration table the day of the event.
  • Exhibitors must park in assigned parking areas as indicated in your confirmation package. Traffic citations will be issued if you park in areas marked "Restricted". There is no overnight parking permitted in the downtown per city ordinance. Overnight parking of RV's may be provided at the Dixon May Fair grounds. Call Delores for reservations at (707) 678-5529. Motel accommodations are also available at the the Red Roof Inn.
  • All Exhibitors MUST have a permit or a temporary sales tax permit, and must collect and pay your own sales tax. Please contact the State Board of Equalization office, (916) 322-9669, in Sacramento. Please include your resale number on your application when you return it to our office.
  • All vendors must have a Certificate of Insurance showing "That the State of California, the 36th District Agricultural Association, County Fair, Citrus Fair, or California Exposition and State Fair, their agents, officers, servants, and employees are made additional insured but only insofar as the operations under this contract are concerned", in the amount of $1,000,000 for general liability coverage. If you do not have your own insurance (homeowners policy, business, etc.) you may purchase liability insurance for your event from the State. If purchasing the special events insurance through the fairgrounds office, you must do so through the Fairgrounds office at 655 S. 1st St., Dixon, CA (707) 678-5529 and payment must be made by either a money order, certified check or cashiers check made payable to: CALIFORNIA FAIRS SERVICES AUTHORITY (CFSA). Mail $22 to the Fairgrounds office at 655 S. 1st St., Dixon, CA 95620 and the fairgrounds will do the paper work for you. Cost of the one day insurance through the fairgrounds is $22 for vendors.
  • Booths must remain set up until 5:00 p.m. No vehicles will be allowed to begin loading before 5:00 p.m. Emergency vehicles ONLY will be allowed within the Festival hours between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • You are responsible for providing or arranging for all necessary labor in unpacking, erecting, dismantling and repacking displays. Festival staff and security personnel are not available to assist with set-up or breakdown.
  • You shall only store or display materials on appropriate surfaces of your booth, and not in pedestrian aisles or on sidewalks.
  • NO alcoholic beverages of any kind may be sold or given away by a Exhibitor.
  • The Lambtown USA Festival will occur regardless of the weather. Be prepared for any kind of weather; sun, heat, wind, rain or cold. The Festival will take place rain or shine
  • Portable toilets will be provided.
