Lambtown SponsorsDear Lamb Lover, We are pleased to extend to you, as a business leader in our community, an invitation to participate in a special event that epitomizes the flavor of Dixon and its heritage; the 25th Annual Lambtown, USA Festival. This year's Festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Dixon May Fair. This is just a wonderful opportunity for our business and community sectors to come together for another outstanding hometown community event. It is a great event for attracting people to Dixon and its downtown. The Dixon Lambtown Association has refocused the Festival to reflect and represent the sheep and wool industry. Events such as the sheepdog trials, Lamb Cook-offs, shearing, spinning and weaving competitions will now be favorite attractions. We are asking that all vendors provide at least one lamb or wool item, and where appropriate, food vendors will provide a lamb dish. Vendors will be selected first who are providing handmade items. This is a celebration of the lamb industry in Dixon's heritage. Lambtown relies entirely on sponsor pledges, booth and competition fees. The newly imposed $2 entry fee will enter all participants in a drawing for wonderful prizes. The planning activities are well underway for 2011 with the Festival Committees and appropriate governmental agencies. Your financial support in making the 2011 Lambtown, USA Festival a success would be greatly appreciated. All sponsor contributions will be recognized, using a variety of promotional media. We expect several thousands of visitors in Dixon this year for the Festival. If you would like to be a sponsor and part of the 2011 Lambtown, USA Festival being held on Satuday, October 1, 2011.
