Knitters World Record Attempt: 25th Annual Dixon Lamb Fest: October 1, 2011

As part of the Dixon Lamb Festival 2011, we are aiming to break the World Record for the largest group of knitters in one place! Its going to be a fun day and a fantastic achievement for Lambtown, Dixon and California! Let’s bring this record back to the United States!

We need 1200 knitters to knit at the same time for 15 minutes. The current record is 1147 set by a group in Roscommon, Ireland in April 2011. We are donating squares to the Afghans for Afghans project – but you can knit your own piece or work on an existing piece if you prefer. The main thing is we are all knitting together! You don’t have to cast on on the day – just be ready to go! All are welcome – young and old…
…so grab your knitting needles and we’ll knit a new patch of history for California!
